Subject: Come hear about CAPE’s new approach to collective bargaining – and your role in it!

Dear members of local 511, local 402, local 401 and to our members in Nunavut,

CAPE has been designing a new bargaining model that will dramatically increase member participation and ownership of our collective bargaining process, and your next collective agreement – that process is widely known as Open Bargaining.

The process of Open Bargaining will begin in earnest in September 2025.

Please join CAPE President Nathan Prier and CAPE staff organizer Darrah Teitel to hear how Open Bargaining is being designed for our upcoming bargaining round. Learn about the history and the basics of this method, and how specifically you and your coworkers will take the reins of the process.

High participation bargaining regularly leads to the best contracts workers in any given sector have ever seen – make sure to bring yourself and your coworkers to this information session so you’re ready to hit the ground running in September.
