4/30 Save IMLS Postcard Party
Start: Wednesday, April 30, 2025•06:00 PM
End: Wednesday, April 30, 2025•09:00 PM
The federal cuts to IMLS are affecting libraries and library workers everywhere. Whether it’s losing interlibrary loan services, funding for staff, or critical grants to keep library programs running, we’re already seeing the casualties of the cuts in action. They’re destabilizing our access to information and jeopardizing the beating heart of our country’s cultural and educational landscape.
The devastation to library workers, students, and patrons cannot be overstated enough. Which is why we won’t be silent.
Here at ULU, our focus has always been on the livelihoods of library workers, which is why we’re assembling an emergency library advocacy session on Wednesday, April 30. We’ll be writing postcards to our elected officials to demand that they stand up for libraries and a full restoration of budget cuts.
We’ll kick things off at 6pm—and we’ll have pizza! You’ll also get to see our new office space in East Williamsburg, to get a taste of where some of the magic happens.
