The bathroom entrances are not automatic. Mobility aid users may need to ask Alexandria for Palestinian Human Rights members or library staff to open the door for them. Join DMV activists for Palestinian Human Rights to mingle and learn the traditional Palestinian Dabke folk dance. Dabke is a Levantine folk dance that combines circle and line dancing and is widely performed at weddings and other joyous occasions. The event will begin with socializing at 2 PM. Starting at 2:30 PM, we'll learn the history and cultural meaning of Dabke and then practice the steps together.

Please wear comfortable shoes and bring water (in a vessel with a lid).

Masks are required and will be provided.
