Constitution Day honors the signing of the U.S. Constitution on September 17, 1787. Our local commemoration will focus on the First Amendment, specifically the twin freedoms of speech and of the press. Presenters will be Anna Gomez, FCC Commissioner; Jesse Wegman, author and senior fellow at the Brennan Center for Justice; Meghan O'Rourke, Executive Director CCTV Center for Media and Democracy, and Anne Galloway, Founder and former Executive Director and Editor of VT Digger.

This free public event is brought to you by Third Act Vermont's Press Freedom team, along with media co-sponsor CCTV Center for Media and Democracy.
