Cars are California's largest source of carbon emissions. That is just the tip of the melting iceberg on the justice and environmental impacts cars have on communities throughout the Bay Area. We have a powerful, but under-used tool to clean our air and bring environmental justice to our streets: transit.
Join the Greenbelt Alliance, the Richmond Progressive Alliance, California Environmental Voters, and the Transbay Coalition for a special Earth Month panel discussion on:
- The impacts cars have on our health, communities, greenspaces, and climate
- How cars enable sprawl and refineries
- Transit as a tool for climate and environmental justice.
- How local, state and federal governments can make transit a better option for meeting the needs of the people
- What you can do to make a difference
Panelists include:
Kyndelle Johnson, Richmond Progressive Alliance
Jordan Grimes, Greenbelt Alliance
Aaron McCall, California Environmental Voters
Carter Lavin, Transbay Coalition
