Thank you for joining the 2024 Basic Income Week of Action. Income Movement is dedicated to supporting this national series of events with promotions, signage and other key areas to make sure your event has impact for you and your community.
There are important steps to get your event on the Week of Action map - we’ve created below a helpful step-by-step guide to getting your event up!
Step One: Plug into Income Movement’s Action Network
You'll need to create an Action Network account to host an event. Once, you have an account and have clicked on 'Click to Host' button on the map view here, it's time to set up your event.
Step 2: Name your event, your City + Basic Income Day of Action and/or the film you are screening (example: Miami Basic Income Day - Inherent Good Screening).
Step 3: Pick your location. If you’re not yet sure, put a well-known park or gathering place in your area as a placeholder. You can change the location later. Even if it's a placeholder, it's great to let people in your community to know that there is an event being planned so they can sign up and get the date marked on their calendars. When you have your event location finalized later, you can let your attendees know about the location.
Step 4: Scroll to the bottom of the page and make sure your event is sponsored by Income Movement - this will ensure it lands on the Day of Action Map.)
Once you have created an event, Income Movement will be notified and will reach out to you to make sure you are added to organizer meetings and get you resources!
