AB 2615 Hearing
Start: Wednesday, April 22, 2026•01:00 PM
Location: Capitol Building• 1315 10th St, Sacramento, CA 95814 US
Last year, a dangerous bill became law in California that aimed to censor California teachers who educate their students around genocide in Palestine. Now, a new bill which claims to "fix" some of the harm it's done will actually make matters worse.
But you can stop it. Sign up now to attend an in-person hearing tomorrow in Sacramento alongside fellow advocates in your community and tell your Assembly member to vote NO on AB 2615!
The new bill, AB 2615, broadens the scope of AB 715 by expanding the definition of "factually accurate" and by tightening reporting windows for complaints against teachers. Additionally, it overshadows AB 2159 – which actually aims to right the wrongs of AB 715.
The opposition is going to pack the halls of Sacramento tomorrow, so it's critical for us to show up in numbers bigger than theirs. Or else, the children in our lives will be bearing the brunt of this censorship in their education.
Sign up now to join us in Sacramento tomorrow. (Carpools are available for those in need!)
