As a follow-up to an earlier primer on Abolition Feminism, this group will discuss the development of VAWA and the implications of current efforts to reform/improve it. The conversation will focus on anti-violence work with, within, and without the state, patterns of co-optation, and challenges for Transformative Justice practitioners.
