Marshals play a crucial role in any street action, march or protest. This workshop will give you an understanding of the important role of Lead Marshal, how to guide and support your team of marshals and forge them into an effective team, able to ensure safety for all users of the space and realise the action plan. You will need to prepare by familiarising yourself with Extinctions Rebellion's demands and principles, which you can find here: What is XR - Extinction Rebellion Australia (ausrebellion.earth)

PLEASE NOTE: If you are new, we strongly recommend that you attend one of our regular introductory sessions - Heading for Extinction and What To Do About It - and our Nonviolent Direct Action Training before attending 'Marshal's Training,' and 'Lead Marshal's Training.'
