ACTIVE HOPE - AN INTRODUCTION TO THE WORK THAT RECONNECTS

Start: Saturday, May 20, 2017 9:30 AM

End: Saturday, May 20, 2017 4:30 PM

The challenges we face in the world today can feel paralyzing. There’s climate disruption, poverty, war, racism, sexism, homophobia—the list goes on and on. How can we avoid feeling overwhelmed by anger, burnout and other difficult emotions? How can we remain resilient, and be replenished and empowered to act for the healing of our world?

Join us as we explore all this using the Work That Reconnects. This work draws on the work of Joanna Macy, a Buddhist scholar, teacher and activist. The workshop will be facilitated by members of the Boston-area Work That Reconnects Community of Practice.

WHAT to expect from the workshop?

· exercises in gratitude
· acknowledgement of our pain for the planet
· new insights
· commitment to change and healing, with exploration of specific projects
