We will be running a jam packed day for the Scottish Climate Movement to start into the new year, with radical energy for climate justice. The day is organised into three different sections, you can attend all of them or just come to those that interest you most:

10:00 -13:30 Advanced Direct Action Training

14:30 - 18:00 Decision Day for Climate Camp Scotland

18:00 - 21:00 Movement Dinner and Bonfire

Location: GalGael, 15 Fairley St, Govan, Glasgow G51 2SN

Date: Sunday, 28 January 2024

Lunch and dinner will be provided by SKIFA, the new kitchen collective. The venue has level access and disabled toilets. We will be both inside and outside, bring good shoes and warm clothes!

The Advanced Direct Action Training is open to beginners and experienced activists alike, but concentrating on more specific direct action techniques, particularly to help us learn how to deal with the challenges we faced at the last camp in Grangemouth.

After lunch, we will get together to form a consensus on where climate camp should go for next summer. Our research groups will present knowledge and recent updates on the worst fossil fuel sites in Scotland and local resistance against them as a basis for our decision-making. Collectively deciding this with the Scottish climate movement is important for us, and we want your voice in the room.

After the decision making process, we will have a shared dinner, bonfire and a social for every climate activist in Scotland. If you’re up for singing, performing or reading something for us, please get in touch, we’d love to have you!

All participants in Climate Camp Scotland agree to the Safer Spaces Policy in order to ensure that everyone feels welcomed, included and safe in our meetings, activities, and online spaces, and that we’re constantly challenging oppressive structures. We will do our best to cover travel expenses or provide child care support.

Level entrances, all one floor. Accessible toilet available.
