Advocacy at Zoning Advisory Council & June Happy Hour
Start: Wednesday, June 11, 2025•04:00 PM
The Richmond Zoning Advisory Council has released its first draft of proposed zoning changes, and we're concerned about it. It largely continues current zoning patterns, and fails to provide much more room for multifamily housing. This draft, if implemented, would lock in housing unaffordability and exclusion in Richmond for decades to come.
We need your help to make it better. The Zoning Advisory Council needs to hear that the proposed zoning changes should do more to increase the ability for Richmond to expand its housing supply. That's why we want you to join us as we go to speak at the June ZAC meeting to push the body towards using the city's zoning to realize a vision of more abundant housing in Richmond.
After the ZAC meeting around 6:30 PM, we'll head over to Capital Ale House for drinks!
