Gulf Coast Creation Care is inviting individuals and groups in Alabama to participate in a campaign for Sun Day, which is celebrated on September 21st. We will be asking our elected representatives at the Alabama Public Service Commission to update regulations to encourage, rather than deter, solar power in Alabama. This can be an intergenerational activity where kids (of all ages) complete the sun logo on the front of the postcard, using crayons, colored pencils, markers, etc. (see examples here). Then adults write a short message to our elected public service commissioners on the back, using the prompts provided on this document. The postcards require first class postage, which you can ask participants to supply, or collect the postcards and mail them. Find complete instructions and all materials for the activity here.
