All Out for the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB)!
Start: Friday, April 18, 2025• 5:30 PM
On April 17th Russell Vought laid off almost every worker at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), which protects regular people from wall street scammers.
The CFPB was created after the financial crash in 2008 to hold big banks accountable and to protect consumers from scams that target working people. Gutting it isn’t just bureaucratic-- it’s personal. It’s a handout to the same financial insituttions that caused the crash in the first place.
Join us Friday, April 18th CFPB workers and supporters are rallying at Foley Square (near City Hall) to protest Russell Vought’s dismantling of the CFPB.
