Inspired by the Chattanooga Urbanist Society, Wilmington DSA's Mutual Aid Working Group is using repurposed materials to construct bus stop benches. Our goals are to improve the public transit experience for working class folks and to bring awareness to the lack of infrastructure for public transit in the Port City.

Join us for our next Bench Build! All experience levels welcome, as we will help new folks learn to use the tools safely.

We will be outside, so water and sun protection are a must. If you have any of these tools, please bring them: hammers, pry bars, cordless drills, work gloves, clamps.
