April Gathering

A group of around a dozen climate activists stand in front of a ship called Grampian Sovereign and crates with banners that read CLIMATE JUSTICE = MIGRANT JUSTICE and NO NEW OIL & GAS
This weekend will be held at Talamh housing cooperative (Birkhill House, Coalburn, ML11 0NJ). It will be a chance to gain skills necessary to executing climate camp, but also protest camps in general, and to plan our climate camp 2025!

The nearest train station is Lanark, there are regular trains from both Edinburgh and Glasgow to Lanark. Getting from Lanark to Talabh is difficult using public transport so we will be organising shuttles and there is a car sharing group chat https://chat.whatsapp.com/KcZrjFtAxOp5Sd3GrAJwZY.

Arrival time: On Friday the Kraken will be raised, this will start at 2pm for those able to join, the last stage (which needs the most people) will start at 6pm for those who are not able to join earlier. We need to know when people are planning on arriving so we can organise shuttles and know there will be enough people to raise the Kraken, so please fill out the arrival times and transport options.

There is no accommodation for the weekend so you must bring a tent with you. There also might be limited seating options so if you have a camping chair bring that too!

There will be a more detailed agenda sent out closer to the event but for now the rough agenda is:

- Friday: Kraken day

- Saturday: SCAMPI workshops/ Skillshares and Main CCS discussions and decisions

- Sunday: CCS working group time and Kraken disassembling

There will also be some evening music/ art sharing on the Saturday so bring instruments, songs, poems etc!
