Speak Out Against Arch Insanity!

Join us at the National Building Museum on Thursday, 4/16, at 10:00 AM to protest desecration of the landscape of our national capital with a monstrous vanity arch. Our rally and press conference will coincide with a public meeting inside the museum of the US Commission of Fine Arts--a formerly independent body now stacked with Trump sychophants who are expected to rubber stamp the proposed arch. This is the same body that approved the proposed golden ballroom to replace the destroyed East Wing of White House.

A lawsuit filed by Public Citizen and Veteans Against the Trump Arch  states: "The arch would obstruct the view between Arlington National Cemetery and the Lincoln Memorial, a view carefully designed to symbolize the unification of the country after the Civil War and the strength of a united nation... Because Congress has not authorized construction of a memorial arch... proceeding with construction would be unlawful.

Bring homemade signs, American flags, bucket drums, and other noise makers. Easily accessible by Metro--Judiciary Square (Red Line) is directly opposite the museum entrance. Trump isn't the first wannabe dictator to propose a giant arch that failed to get built. Other vanity arches were blocked and we will block this one, too.

Take the elevator at Judiciary Square to the street level.
