Unplug and de-screen by joining your fellow socialists for an evening of arts, crafts, and snacks.

Bring your own knitting, crocheting, sewing, needlepoint, basket weaving, origami, decoupage, doodling, coloring, jewelry-making, or other handmade project to work on and discuss with other socialist art and craft enthusiasts. If you do not have a current project you are working on, come anyways! Paper and drawing materials will be provided for card and envelope making.

We hope this will be the first of many meetings, serving in part as an organizing event to structure future art and craft gatherings. If we have enough interest, we hope to set up a structure in which members have the opportunity to lead the group and share the ins-and-outs of their craft with others who are passionate about art and/or eager to learn.

All accessibility standards on the Milwaukee DSA In-Person / Hybrid Meeting Checklist (based on the Accessibility Standards for Meetings) will be met for this event to the best of our ability. Please note that we will meet on the second floor of Zao MKE Church, which is not wheelchair accessible. Do not hesitate to reach out to the host of this event as soon as possible if you will have trouble reaching the second floor; if we are informed in advance, we will do our best to find a room on the first floor to meet.
