Art of Action is Durham's newest addition to the NC Climate Justice Collective's ecosystem of Resiliency Organizing Hubs. Through cultural arts and inner resilience skills-building, this Hub generates revolutionary joy while building collective action.

Strengthening our frontline communities to stand against the many injustices we are facing requires a unique approach. We use NCCJC’s 4Rs of Social Transformation framework to develop strategies for local and statewide movement building. This Hub is a practice ground to link all four Rs: Reform, Resist, Re-imagine and Re-Create. Over time, we will dig into the root causes and much needed solutions to climate chaos while taking a deeper dive into how cultural arts can lead to social transformation.

Art of Action will launch the first of many circle style discussions where we call in local artists, activists and community organizers to re-imagine what our organizing spaces can look like. Join us on Wednesday, September 2nd, 6:00-8:00pm at The Burrow, 207 N Church St Durham NC.
