Join us for a conversation about voting, civic engagement, and how we stay engaged and participate during times of uncertainty. Together, we'll explore how we can support our communities, stay connected, and remain engaged without becoming overwhelmed.
Our speaker, Jake Quinn, will discuss what people can do to make sure their vote is counted. He will also cover the changes that have been introduced for this election. Jake will do his best to answer any questions that attendees might have.
Jake moved to Asheville in 2005 and was introduced to the local political scene in 2006. In 2016 he decided to focus on electoral issues. Jake became a Board of Elections member in 2018, and was appointed Board chair by Governor Cooper in 2019, a post he held for six years. He continues to work to make voting in Buncombe County as easy and accessible as possible.
