UNITE FOR CLIMATE ACTION

             the next great moment in the climate movement: the global all-ages climate strike

On September 20, millions of people of all ages around the world will walk out of their classes, jobs, and homes as part of a Global Climate Strike. It’s poised to be the largest worldwide event ever as global citizens unite to call for climate action now.  And Southern Oregon is all in.

Immediately following the Ashland youth-led rally (only one of many youth-led rallies in the Valley!)  in the Plaza, there will be an all-ages community celebration and a day of solidarity. The Butler Bandshell will host local music by Daniel Sperry, Cedric Lamar, Adey Bell, and UNIVERSES,  poetry from Oregon writers Manya Orescan, Joshua Boettiger, and Shoshana Alexander, and opportunities for connection and action.   A food truck will be available and organizers also encourage a BYO picnic and BYO own plates, cups, and reusable utensils.   Go, Earth!
