Father Jim Murphy plans to commit nonviolent civil disobedience by entering Offutt Air Force Base in Nebraska on August 6. In the case of a nuclear war, Offutt AFB would be an epicenter for launching nuclear weapons. A consequence of Father Jim’s action could be a prison sentence.

As Father Jim enters the base, he would like to carry letters from hundreds of people stating their objection to the world-wide possession of nuclear weapons.

Please read the attached letter from Father Jim. Then consider writing an email or letter demanding that the US join the global movement for nuclear disarmament. Please encourage family and friends to do the same. Emails are to be sent to <jimmurphy@centurylink.net>; and letters, to Father Jim Murphy, P.O. Box 306, Highland, Wisconsin 53543. These messages will need to arrive by August 1, 2018. In addition, you can send copies of these emails/letters to your Congressional Representatives.
