Trump and his billionaire cronies are trying to gut our city, our state, and our country. They’re attacking our unions and civil rights. They’re terrorizing our immigrant and LGBTQ communities. This is a war on working people and black and brown people in every corner of the country. Baltimoreans will not stand down. Workers built this nation and we will build our future with fully funded schools, jobs with dignity, healthcare, and housing for all. This May Day we are fighting back. Their time is up.

A core principle behind our May Day actions is a commitment to nonviolence in all we do. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.

May Day, also known as the International Workers Day, is celebrated by working people across the world. The date – May 1st – commemorates a general strike at Haymarket Square in Chicago, where workers were fighting for the eight hour day. This action is part of the www.MayDayStrong.org day of action, and we will be joining millions of Americans in the streets.
