BART and Bike to the Walnut Creek Walnut Festival!

Start: Saturday, September 21, 2024 2:00 PM

Come out for a day of fun at the Walnut Creek Walnut Festival! The Festival offers family-friendly entertainment, live music, a carnival with more than 15 rides, Kid Zone, a showcase of amazing local and regional talent including artists, craftsmen, designers, jewelers, builders, food specialties, craft beer garden, and much more!

Wherever you are in the Bay, YOU are invited! Take your bike onto BART and ride to the Pleasant Hill station. At 2pm a crew of local bikers and folks from around the Bay will assemble at Plaza between Sunne Lane and Harvey Drive and do a group ride to the Walnut Festival.

The bike ride goes along the gorgeous (and separated!) Iron Horse and Contra Costa County Canal trails. It's about 15 minutes and mainly flat. After the ride we'll park our bikes at the festival's bike valet and kick-off a day of family-friendly adventure!

ABOUT THE WALNUT FESTIVAL

For the past 86 years, the non-profit Walnut Festival Association has attracted the most dedicated volunteers, from all walks of life, who join together to serve Contra Costa County by raising funds through community events. The money raised from these annual family entertainment events is donated back into the community to support recreational, charitable, and educational programs and facilities. The Walnut Festival Association events also provide a means for service and charitable groups to raise money to support their specific organizations.
