Bat Walk at Verulamium Park

Location: Verulamium Car Park, St Michael's Street, St Albans, AL3 4SW

Join us for an evening bat walk at Verulamium Park! We'll meet at Verulamium Car Park and walk down to the gate opposite the former Rose and Crown pub near the bridge, before heading into the park.

We'll be using bat detectors, which translate the bats' ultrasonic calls into frequencies we can hear, helping us identify the different species along the way. We're hoping to see and hear up to five species of bat at Verulamium! 🦇

We'll hopefully be joined by a couple of helpers from the local bat group who can share their expertise.

Good to know:

• Older children are welcome
• No dogs this time, please
• We can accommodate up to 20 people, so please sign up to reserve your place
• If the weather turns out to be very wet, we'll reschedule

Accessibility: The walk isn't long and is on mostly flat, wheelchair-accessible ground. Do note that there's a fair amount of standing around during the evening.
