Being homeless is NOT a crime! Johnson v Grants Pass Washington DC Bus Trip
Start: Monday, April 22, 2024• 5:30 AM
End: Monday, April 22, 2024• 3:00 PM
On April 22, 2024, the United States Supreme Court will hear City of Grants Pass v. Johnson, the most major case on homelessness in 40 years.
Homelessness is growing because housing is unaffordable. The only proven solution to homelessness is ensuring that everyone is housed and supported. It makes no sense to criminalize homelessness.
Johnson v. Grants Pass is a case about unhoused people getting pushed for something outside of their control. The Supreme Court will rule on whether cities can punish people for trying to survive while sleeping outside.
