Berkeley just voted to end single-family zoning in all its flats! Despite loud NIMBY pushback, Council voted unanimously to go beyond the staff proposal allow for greater density and more flexible roof heights. Most importantly, that density increase applies across all neighborhoods in Berkeley, no matter what zoning they inherited from the past.
