Join MPA members from Bethel and surrounding towns for a special event and fundraiser. (Note that our community meetings typically occur on the 3rd Tuesday, but this special event will occur on the 3rd Monday.)

After our usual social and potluck time at 5:30, we'll move into the theater to watch The Work in Progress at 6pm.

The Work in Progress is a searching portrait of America at a moment of profound uncertainty, and a hopeful exploration of what we owe one another as our country faces unprecedented challenges. Inspired by Robert Reich’s curiosity and humanity, it is a testament to the power of listening, civic engagement, and the belief that our shared future is still ours to shape. The film begins with Prof. Reich asking: "What do we owe each other?" What follows is a journey to find out. Watch the Trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YAguXxc7VsU

A portion of the ticket sales, matched 1:1 by a small group of local donors, will be donated to Project Relief. Project Relief is a Black immigrant-led mutual aid and racial justice collective based in Maine, working every day to protect families, fight deportations, and provide food, shelter, and legal support when systems fail. MPA Members and community members are welcome to gather with us, contribute to Project Relief's efforts, and work to take action in our community. This is an opportunity to connect with neighbors and build relationships with those passionate about social action.
