NIH workers are standing up for the NIH mission. On June 9th, NIH workers released the Bethesda Declaration, an open letter signed by hundreds of current and former NIH employees, which dissents to current policies that are undermining the NIH mission, wasting taxpayer money, and harming the health of Americans and people across the globe. On Monday, July 21st, public signers of the Bethesda Declaration are meeting with NIH Director, Jay Bhattacharya.

Join us in rallying to support the Bethesda Declaration signers and standing up for the NIH.

4:00 pm - Assemble outside the NIH Visitor Center for music, meeting with current and former NIH employees, and making signs of support for the Bethesda Declaration signers

4:30 pm - Speeches by a special guest, local leaders, former NIH workers, members of the NIH Fellows Union, and signers of the Bethesda Declaration. Welcome the Bethesda Declaration signers as they come from their meeting with the NIH Director.

This event is Metro accessible. Take the red line to Medical Center station, and you will see the event as you exit the station. Limited parking is available at the NIH Visitor Center, so we recommend parking at Grosvenor metro station and taking the metro one stop to Medical Center or parking nearby in Bethesda in one of the public parking lots.
