The February 2022 meeting of the Abolish Everything Series will focus on "Settler Colonialism and Borders".

We will focus on two main sources:

  1. Interview of Harsha Walia on Red Nation Podcast. Walia is the author of Border and Rule: Global Migration, Capitalism, and the Rise of Racist Nationalism, and the Red Nation Podcast features discussions on Indigenous history, politics, and culture from a left perspective.
  2. Patrick Wolfe, “Settler Colonialism and the Elimination of the Native”

Finally, as an optional check out J. Sakai, Settlers: The Mythology of the White Proletariat from Mayflower to Modern, “The Heart of Whiteness”
