The Baltimore SURJ Political Education Group is taking on the Abolish Everything curriculum starting in Fall 2021. Each discussion will continue to be held virtually on the first Wednesday of each month, 7:00 - 8:30PM. Sign up for each session under the "Actions" bar to the right.

While the "Abolish Everything" curriculum is very robust, with extensive sources, our discussions will take one 'deep dive' each month into one or two of the listed texts. We will update the selected texts on the respective pages when the discussion leaders decide (usually 2 months prior to the discussion). Feel free to explore the other texts listed on each Abolish Everything topic, and incorporate them into the discussion where applicable.

The discussions are open to folks with all levels of experience with abolition concepts, and are intended to mostly be a stand-alone (not relying heavily on concepts from prior discussions).

PLEASE NOTE: The VCU group responsible for the Abolish Everything curriculum has updated the lessons with slightly different texts, a varied order of the topics, and some additions / deletions. Therefore, the some of the links below might not correspond to the current site. Please refer to the events for the most accurate information on texts that will be dicussed.
