The December meeting of the Abolish Everything Series will focus on "The Development of the Prison-Industrial Complex (PIC)."

We will primarily discuss the text: Robin D.G. Kelley, "Insecure: Policing Under Racial Capitalism". You can also peruse the zine, “Racial Capitalism and Prison Abolition” as an optional, supplementary text. Finally, we plan on watching the video Ruth Wilson Gilmore, "Geographies of Racial Capitalism" during the event.
