Join us for this month’s Book Club on Tuesday, October 28th at 7:00 pm. The next few months we will be reading curriculum on Reform or Revolution.
This month, we will be starting with three articles:
“From Reform to Revolution” by Lea Ypi, Jacobin
“Bernstein’s Assault on ‘Orthodoxy’” by Marc Mulholland, Weekly Worker
“Revolution, History, and the Beyond of Capitalism: Re-reading the Luxemburg-Bernstein Debate” by Amy Allen, Columbia University
These articles will help to provide context into the ongoing discussion around reform and revolution occurring in 1899 and provide a launching point for discussing the work of Rosa Luxemburg. We will also discuss the failed 1918 November Revolution, in which Rosa played a large part and eventually lost her life at the hands of the proto-Nazis.
