Join Danbury parents, students, residents and educators as we gather to demand our Danbury elected officials fully fund our Danbury Schools!

On May 4th, the day of the City Council Budget vote, we will gather and call on our city leaders to bridge the gap and introduce an amendment to increase the education budget to meet our district’s needs.

We demand our schools be prioritized! Over the past 10 years, the Board of Education requests for school funding have not been met by the City Council. This has resulted in a net loss of $48 million, which has led to cuts to programs, understaffing, and fewer resources for our schools. Meanwhile, for the 2021-22 school year, the needs of our schools are greater than ever. This is UNACCEPTABLE.
