The banking and insurance industries in the UK are fueling the global climate crisis, enabling genocides such as in Palestine, Sudan and Congo, and facilitating the border/detention industry. Companies like Elbit Systems, Maersk, BP and Serco just to name a few would not be able to continue their deadly operations as normal without the help of their banks and insurers.

Finance campaigning has brough about important victories against banks and insurers fueling global conflicts and climate disaster, from the student led campaigns against Barclays' complicity in apartheid South Africa to the decision from global insurers to drop their involvement the East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP) following pressure from climate activists.

Collectively, we can target complicit banks and insurance companies until they end business with genocide, fossil fuels and detention.

Join people in Bristol from different movements to come together and learn how we can hit banks and insurers where it hurts - in their pockets. We will plan together how we can get our churches, temples, mosques, charities, schools, universities, Pride event organisers, local governments, and local businesses to boycott bloody insurers and banks.

It’s time for us to take matters into our own hands and organise campaigns from the grassroots!
