Join Na’amod and Breaking the Silence for a virtual tour of Hebron in the West Bank. We will hear from former IDF soldiers who served in the occupied territories and have broken their silence about the everyday realities of the occupation.
Hebron is the second largest city in the West Bank and the only Palestinian city with an Israeli settlement in the heart of it. The city has been described as a microcosm of Israel’s rule in the West Bank, where the inequities of occupation can be observed up close. Our virtual tour will explore the consequences of segregation, the military presence in the city and the impact it has on daily Palestinian life.
With annexation looming, this is a moment for diaspora Jews to mobilise against systemic violence, segregation and injustice. Understanding how the occupation functions is a crucial first step in that struggle, and we invite you to come learn with us through Breaking the Silence and their first hand accounts of it.
This event will also cover how you can get involved in Na’amod.
This event is primarily for members of the UK Jewish community, but is open to the general public. It is free of charge.
