Education, Art & Performances to STOP the Fossil Fuel Buildout

As regulators determine whether to allow the proposed MVP Southgate and Transco SSEP methane pipelines to move forward in North Carolina, we’re gathering impacted communities and allies for Bundle of Arrows, an afternoon of education, art and musical performances on Sunday October 19th from 2pm-5pm in Mebane, NC to oppose these projects.

Both pipelines are part of a regional rush to build unnecessary and destructive pipelines across the Southeast that would line the pockets of gas corporations, while raising everyone’s electric bills, harming community health and Sacred Waters, and blocking our path to renewable energy independence.

As Indigenous communities experience disproportionate harm from extractive industries, Bundle of Arrows calls for justice, stronger protections for our cultural landscapes, and an end to the era of sacrifice zones. Let’s stand together for water, land, and future generations.

*Talk by Guatemalan Water Defender Sheny Lemus - sharing stories of her experiences leading Indigenous youth and grassroots resistance to the violently imposed Escobal silver mine. Her community's fight is ongoing, and we are honored to welcome Sheny from Guatemala and receive her wisdom.
