CalPERS Board Meeting

Start: Monday, November 17, 202509:00 AM

Location:Lincoln Plaza - Feckner Auditorium400 P Street, Sacramento, CA 95814 US

Why?

CalPERS has committed to creating a $100 Billion Climate Action Plan, but refuses to exclude fossil fuels from this fund or their larger investment portfolio, despite ample evidence that fossil fuels are driving the climate crisis and increasing the financial risk in our retirements. We cannot allow them to further greenwash fossil fuels by counting them in the Climate Action Plan and must continue to stand together to protect our pension security from fossil fuel risk.

On November 17th, the CalPERS Investment Committee will discuss their Climate Related Financial Risk - a perfect time for us to draw their attention to the way that fossil fuel investments are jeopardizing our retirement security and our safe futures.
