Dear friends, Ellen and I are throwing a postcard party on June 30 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm to increase Democratic turnout for the September 10 North Carolina Congressional Special Election. This is a particularly special Special Election, the one that was called when the North Carolina State Board of Elections voted unanimously to throw out the narrow 2018 Republican victory because of the Republicans' blatant voter suppression. We'll be joining Swing Left Greater Boston and Indivisible NC District 09 to send postcards to 50,000 Democratic supporters to encourage them to vote. Swing Left provides the postcards and a message crafted to comply with Federal Elections Commission rules for special elections. We'll write the messages and make the cards look personal and interesting. It's a great opportunity to flex our Democratic muscles before 2020.
