Shayla Adams Stafford won the last Democratic Primary for Prince George’s County Council District 5 in a special election in 2025 with Metro DC DSA’s endorsement, and less than a year later she must defend her seat as an incumbent. In her first six months on the County Council, she co-sponsored and enacted nearly 60 bills, from pausing development of data centers and greater transparency in county land use to fighting for publicly-owned grocery stores and social housing. This builds on her extensive progressive track record on the school board, and Councilmember Adams-Stafford will bring this experience to a full term on the council at a critical moment for the county and working class Prince Georgians.

We will be meeting up in at 11am in Lanham, MD (4500 Forbes Blvd, Lanham, MD), where we will have a brief training before heading out. There is free parking!

If you are taking the metro, please arrive by 10:30am at New Carrolton station, where we will be coordinating pickups. So, please mark whether you can give a ride or will need one in your RSVP.
