Sign up to Canvass this Saturday with NEWR Denver!

We will start with a brief training at 1pm at Little Cheeseman Park (750 N Williams St) and assign canvass locations. Following the training, we will set up a table at 9th Ave and Humbdolt Street, on the West side of Cheeseman Park. If you can't make the initial training but still want to canvass, please come directly to 9th and Humbdolt and we will get you set up!

Parking is available on High Street and Williams Street between 7th and 8th Avenues - if you need help with transportation to the canvass, please post in the Whatsapp group.

Canvassing 101

Our guide for new canvassers covers the signature gathering process in more detail, but here's a quick overview of what to expect this weekend. We also have a 1 page guide for key talking points that you can use when asking for signatures.

1. At the beginning of each canvass, new canvassers will get a petition packet, clipboard, pens, and any additional supplies needed. We will also give everyone a brief training.

2. Collect signatures! Voters registered in Denver County are eligible to sign the packet - double check that they've filled it out correctly while you still have their attention.

3. Once you are done canvassing for the day, either return your packet and get it notarized, or keep your packet to collect signatures on another day. You can collect signatures outside of a canvass and return your packet to get notarized at a future canvass.

4. Get a new packet and keep up the great work!
