In November, Birmingham will be joining cities across the world to demand action on climate.
To coincide with the COP30 international climate conference in Belém, Brazil, climate activists and youth groups in Birmingham are holding a ‘Cardboard Carnival’ with arts, crafts, music, dancing, refreshments, and a live link up with youth groups in Europe and South America.
The event will be hosted by Friction Arts at The Edge arts and community space near the City Centre.
It will be youth led but all ages are welcome.

1Oam – CARNIVAL WORKSHOPS
Banner painting, Shadow puppets, carnival, drumming & chanting workshops at the Edge
12pm – SHARING LUNCH
Change Kitchen are providing veg curry, please bring more to share
1pm – LIVE LINK UP
Sharing who we are and what we're doing, Q & A with Belem
2:30pm – CARNIVAL!
Starts at the Edge, goes to St. Philips Cathedral, Pigeon Park
4pm – COP3O SPEECHES
Speeches at Pigeon Park and finish 5pm
