Join with our home care community in New York at Caring Majority’s Care Not Corruption campaign launch on Thursday, December 11, 11:30am-2pm at the Ring of Knowledge in the Buffalo Public Library (1 Lafayette Square).
The Care Not Corruption campaign is a new initiative to put people before profits in our home care system and protect critical Medicaid funding in New York State.
On December 11th, join with family caregivers, home care workers, people with disabilities and older adults to fight for our Care Not Corruption platform to:
❌ Stop handing billions in Medicaid dollars to private equity and private insurance companies.
✅ Pass the Home Care Savings & Reinvestment Act (S2332/A2018) to eliminate private insurance middlemen and reinvest savings directly into home care wages and care.
✅ Pass the Fair Pay for Home Care Act so that workers can earn a dignified living, alleviating New York’s home care shortage so people can receive the home care they deserve (A1991)
✅ End the PPL monopoly and restore choice to CDPAP by reinstating trusted fiscal intermediaries. (S1189/A2735 or A8355/S7945)
✅ Make the wealthy pay their fair share to invest in our care and prevent Medicaid cuts.
