For our October Community meeting, join us for a conversation with State Representative for House District 7 in the RI General Assembly, David Morales. Rep Morales will be sharing his comprehensive vision to make Providence a more climate resilient city for all our neighbors. From the frequent floods on Valley Street and Branch Avenue to heatwaves that disproportionately impact our neighbors in Washington Park, frontline communities in Providence are constantly feeling the impact of climate change.

As a candidate for Mayor of Providence in 2026, David is focused on taking bold action by making generational investments in stormwater maintenance systems and green infrastructure projects, improving public transportation with local funds, expanding composting efforts, and stopping industrial polluters from harming our communities.

In his capacity as a State Legislator, David will also reflect on the 2025 legislative session and share ideas with CARI members about the ways we can effectively advocate for statewide solutions to address the climate crisis.
