For Rhode Islanders concerned about the onrushing climate crisis, the choice to continue Rep. David Cicilline’s progressive legacy in Congress is clear: former State Representative Aaron Regunberg. CARI has endorsed Aaron Regunberg for Congress in 2023. However, the CD1 seat is being contested by a wide field of Democratic candidates, and we need to do all we can to get the word out about why Aaron is the #1 choice!

CARI is organizing a virtual phone bank on July 26th to get the word out about Aaron's candidacy and remind CD1 voters to show up to the primary on September 5th. Join us for an hour or so on Zoom to do some phone banking! We'll be targeting Democratic voters ahead of the primary, so these should be easy conversations. Please come help out! Aaron has a good shot, but let's help put him ahead of the pack!

Please join before 6 pm. There will be a brief training on how to use the dialer (all you need is a computer and a phone). I also recommend using Google Voice—which can be used to create a new phone number and make calls from your phone or computer—so that our cell voicemails are not filled with calls back from voters. (If you prefer not to use Google Voice, there are also other apps like TextNow that can call from a second number.)
