Chicago, Bike Grid Now is calling on the city to implement a network of safe residential streets with safe streets infrastructure on at least 10% of streets. Join us in the fight for safer streets for all! Learn more at bikegridnow.orgThe need for safe streets infrastructure across Chicago is undeniable as our communities and families grapple with over 100 people killed in traffic crashes so far this year, including over 30 pedestrians and cyclists. Inequity and policy failure in housing, public transit access, environmental protection, and so many other quality of life indicators worsen in our city. The world is facing a climate crisis that requires drastic action. What Chicago needs is a bike grid, not gridlock.
