Solar power is one incredibly bright spot, both literally and figuratively, in otherwise rather scary times. Solar has gone from being “alternative” energy to becoming the least expensive and most promising source in the world. Indeed, all renewable energy is overtaking dirty oil and gas and pointing us to a cleaner, healthier future. It is up to all of us who already understand this to spread the word and push to accelerate the transition and to shine a light for climate justice.

Join us at Christ Church Summit, New Jersey for a service celebrating this good news. We are a diverse, open and affirming faith community inspiring all who join us to explore their spirituality, serve others, and spread love. No matter where you are on life’s journey, you are welcome here. Our service will include testimonials from members who have gone solar, uplifting and thought-provoking messages from our Ministers, and musical inspiration. After service we will march through Summit center to the Beacon Unitarian Universalist Congregation (0.7 miles) to spread the word beyond our walls about the power of the sun, and join their recognition of climate justice in honor of Sun Day. Bring your own hand made signs (find fun ideas here), snacks, and comfortable shoes if you wish to join the parade and the Beacon event as well!
