Join Shahid For Change at this free admission event, open to all! The very first San Francisco Bastille Day celebration took place in 1880, and this year -138 years later - the official committee of French-American organizations of Northern California is planning a grand Bastille Day celebration with a Kermesse (outdoor festival). Celebrate the turning point of the French Revolution that took place July 14th, 1789 in the east side of Paris, when a state prison that had become a symbol of the monarchy's dictatorial rule on, known as the Bastille, was stormed by an angry mob.

Represent for the revolution while also enjoying a multitude of french establishments, food, wine and beer booths, a Citroën vintage car show, games of “Pétanque”, a kid’s garden, tours, french musicians and all kinds of fun!
