Center for Common Ground Update

Join the Center for Common Ground on Thursday, January 30, for an overview of our get-out-the-vote plan in the Wisconsin Supreme Court Race.

We will review the postcard and phone bank campaign and hear from Wisconsin-based leaders:

  • Norma J. Balentine from Souls to the Polls, WI: Souls to the Polls Wisconsin (STTP), a faith-based civic engagement project of Pastors United Community Advocacy Inc., partners with 300 inner-city congregations, labor unions, and civic groups to mobilize Black and Hispanic communities through education, advocacy, and voting resources. Their mission is to unite faith leaders, community organizations, and individuals to strengthen collective power and increase voter participation. Built by Norma Balentine and tech partner Dave Anderson, STTP’s dual in-person and virtual rides program is now the largest and most consistent volunteer-driven rides-to-the-polls initiative in Milwaukee—and potentially the state.
  • Davina J. Jones, community organizer, is an accomplished leader with over 30 years of experience in business administration, project management, and community organizing. As the Founder and CEO of Hand Up Resource Center, Inc. and Clerical Concepts, she has developed programs supporting professional development, reentry services, and emergency preparedness. Certified in Microsoft Office, Project Management, and CPR/AED-BLS instruction, Davina specializes in empowering communities through innovative training, civic engagement, and impactful digital organizing.

Let's get ready for our first 2025 election campaign!
