This May 21 marks the 12th Global Anti-Chevron Day, born from the outrage of communities worldwide who joined together to confront Chevron's legacy of destruction. From deliberately polluting the Ecuadorian Amazon to facing over $50 billion in global liabilities, Chevron continues to evade justice. This year, Donald Moncayo, president of the Union of Peoples Affected by Chevron/Texaco in Ecuador (UDAPT), will travel to the Bay Area to expose Chevron's ongoing harm in the Amazon and stand in solidarity with frontline communities like Richmond, California, also impacted by the oil giant's toxic operations.
